Meet Mt Baker Vapor – Ted M

Hi, my name is Ted M. I’m the newest member of the Mt Baker Vapor Marketing Team! I could be described as a designer, an artist or a visual problem solver. I’m most comfortable with the title of artist but get the most joy from being called dad…or old man. I’ve earned each of my gray hairs!

My story in design began in 1988 when I decided I wasn’t going to progress very far in my advertising career from a factory in Ohio so I took the step and enrolled at the Columbus College of Art and Design. I started in the days when macs only accepted the original 8 inch and the wonderful 3.5 inch floppy disk…ah the days of 1.44 megs of memory! From there I traveled just about every conceivable creative side road along the way. I confess I am interested in all things creative. From charcoal drawings to blues harmonica the love of art and spontaneity of creating are the constants that drive me.

I moved to Arizona with my 3 children nearly 20 years ago. My family and I enjoy hiking and camping when the thermometer drops below radioactive. We tend to gravitate to activities that lead to rivers and lakes. This is an amazingly beautiful place if you can keep from spontaneously combusting. It may be as hot as the vaping industry’s ongoing battle with the FDA.

I am not a smoker. However, most of my family and friends either smoke or have smoked at one point in their lives. I’ve always felt they were singled out by a society that has changed its views on smoking and become increasingly intolerant of a habit that generations had deemed the norm. They were unwittingly hooked by a product and industry that would become the benchmark for dirty habits. For this reason I joined the Mt Baker Vapor marketing team with the aim of letting “the man” know that vaping is a smoke free alternative. As a person with Native American heritage it’s upsetting to see how something once ceremonial has become so negative (I’m looking at you tobacco!). So, if educating people and changing perception comes with sticking to the FDA…well, great!

I have seen first hand how life long smokers have gone from 24 milligrams of nicotine to 3 in very short order. One friend who is a member of the military, has made the change and seen incredible improvements. I could list dozens of stories that echo the same sentiments from the short time I’ve been with MBV. Bottom line, this is a fight I/we accept wholeheartedly on your behalf. Vape for your life, it is your right. You can do your part to fight the FDA at www.r2bsmokefree.org.

Best of luck to you at MBV, Ted!

  • Patrick says:

I could have not said it any better when you started breaking it down with your family members who smoke or have smoked. I was sinked after that. Good job buddy!

    • Ted Marple says:

Thanks Patrick! I’m glad you agree with my point of view. I will never understand why the FDA views us as a tobacco product. Nicotine appears naturally in many things in nature but you don’t see warnings plastered all over tomatoes or peppers! The success stories I’ve read about our industry are endless and the reason I am so excited to join the fight against the FDA.

As a citizen I firmly believe we have the constitutional right to self govern our sovereign selves. If our government is truly concerned about the products we choose to use then Monsanto should under a much larger microscope! Thanks again and, as always, vape for your own life!

It would be bennificial to add the ability to cancel an order online prior to it being filled. My order is still processing but due to a glitch during check out I was over charged and I want to cancel my order PRIOR to payment clearing my bank.

  • Justin says:

Keep up the good work Ted sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders

  • Ted Marple says:

Thanks for the kind words Justin. I’m always glad to my part!

Hi Ted, after more than 50 years of heavy smoking, I switched to vaping over five years ago. I’m down to 6 mg of nicotine and feeling great!
Not a cloud chaser, I just enjoy the experience.
Over a year ago the New England Journal of Medicine published a study about vaping as a NRT, nicotine replacement therapy.
They found out that they vaping is the one and only nicotine replacement therapy that has absolutely no side effects! The patch, the gum, Chantix, etc. can literally kill you! I can provide you with a copy of that article. I wish that someone can make that article viral to educate the nonbelievers. Good job Ted!

    • Ted Marple says:

Hi Susana, this is exactly the kind of experience we love to hear about! I have a good friend that is in the military and he’s only been vaping for a few months. He’s gone from 24mg of nicotine down to 3mg. He says he’s more active and no longer smells like an ashtray. It’s exciting to be a part of an industry that has such a positive impact on so many lives.

Please do send us a link of the article you mentioned. It sounds like a great source of accredited information. I’m always looking for good material and the New England Journal of medicine is highly respected. I look forward to reading it.

  • Susana Hendrick says:

Ted, please give me your email address so I can send you a copy as I don’t have a link I physically have the journal.
