Meet Mt Baker Vapor – Josh’s Story
I am a believer in e-cigarettes helping people to quit smoking. I am also a believer in reasonable regulations. I also happen to be the Customer Service Chief for Mt Baker Vapor. I was a smoker for about a year, but ever since trying an e-cig, I am now a Vaper, and I will never look back.
I was lucky enough to have a co-worker share his e-cig with me about a year before I started working in the e-cigarette industry. My first e-cig, like a lot of vapers out there, was a cartomizer. Specifically a Joytech 510. I now experiment with various setups that produce better flavor and vapor, and fit my vaping preferences. I currently have in hand a new e-pipe, mostly because the awesome style is hard to resist. One of the best things about the vaping industry though is that it brings people different experiences every day. With new products being constantly released, there is always a new flavor of e-juice to try or a new mod to admire.
The community that has grown around this industry is great too. There is an amazing amount of support to be found when you are first switching from smoking to vaping, and we all stick with you throughout your vaping journey. There are a few vapers in the community who can be elitist, but for the most part you will find more support than criticism. I just ask that all vapers don’t blindly accept what people tell you to be the truth. I implore you to do your own research on what is right for you, and make an educated decision on if e-cigs will help you or not. Vaping is all about finding what fits you best.
I was first drawn to work in the e-cigarette industry because I was tired of working for large corporations, and decided to seek out and be a part of a small startup company. This is part of the reason it saddens me to see the media and politicians comparing vaping to Big Tobacco. In fact, e-cigs are saving lives, helping people make smarter choices about their health, and unshackling their chains to Big Tobacco. It’s sad to see so many people trying to regulate these products simply because they don’t understand them. I hope that in five years, the e-cigarette industry is federally regulated in the US, so that it might stop local governments from attempting to shut down the industry state by state.
Stay strong and fight for your right to vape on!
