Are your puffs taste awful with a slightly burnt smell? The reason for that burnt taste could be your coil. You might want to clean the coil before you do the next refill. If you are not cleaning the coils at the right time, you might soon start getting the burnt smell in your vaping sessions.

There are replaceable and rebuildable coils. Not both can be treated as the same. Let me tell you how to clean a coil vape.

Replaceable coils

Replaceable coils are the ones that are easier to use. However, if you are not cleaning the coil properly, then you might have to spend more on replacing the coils. To put simply, the flavored and sweetened e-liquids tend to leave some residue after each puff.

Such residue accumulates for a few vape sessions and the layer becomes very thick like a crust on your coil. You won't be able to enjoy the actual taste of the e-juice if you have a crust on the coil. Now it's time for you to clean the crust to restore your coil to working conditions.

First method: (Best method)

You can clean the crust using some ethanol. Ethanol is the most cost-effective and efficient way to clean the coils without much effort.

  • Pour ethanol into a container. (Just pour enough ethanol to soak the coil head)
  • Soak your coil head in the container.
  • Soak your coil head in the container.
  • Take out the coil head and use some distilled water to rinse it well.
  • Keep it in a dry place and let the water evaporate.

You could see the color of the cotton changed after you take out the carbon and the residue. Now you can load it in the vape tank and prime it before using. Ensure you don't fire your coil in a high wattage to avoid dry hits.

Second method:

Through this method, you cannot get the result that is as perfect as the first method. However, this method will work well if you do this regularly.

  • Buy some alcohol swab sticks. (cotton made)
  • Use the alcohol swab sticks to swab clean the residues from your coil head at least twice a day.
  • Clean it with cotton or a piece of cloth before using the alcohol swab stick.

A beginner vaper becomes an experienced vaper only after knowing how to clean a coil vape. I hope now you know how to clean a vape coil.

Cleaning the coils can help you avoid contamination in e-liquids. Likewise, you can save a lot of money in the long-term by extending the life of your coils. It is highly appreciable to clean the vape tanks, mods, and all the other vaping accessories as well.
