Drip Tips with Grant – Sub Ohm Etiquette
Hey Vape Fans! Thanks for reading this weeks installment of Drip Tips! Today we’re going to go over proper cloud chasing and Sub Ohm etiquette. Much of the irritation directed towards Vapers is because of folks chasing clouds in the wrong places, for the wrong reasons. The last thing we want to do is further any negative public opinion about vaping and develop a generalized reputation of how we are all doing these things in public. So before taking a vape, be sure to keep these things in mind:
We need to remember that while we may think huge, billowing clouds of Black Licorice vapor is awesome, to someone who doesn’t like the smell of black licorice or having huge clouds blown in their direction, it may not be. If in three or four pulls, you can cloud up the bar, you should be courteous and take it outside. Now, if you are at a vape meet then by all means chuck those clouds, but for places like a bar or restaurant, use your manners.
Another thing that will help you avoid grumpy non-vapers and confrontation is to choose a flavor that is not overly rich or perfumey when you go out. Your favorite Pumpkin Spice Rum Raisin flavor may get old fast for others to smell. If you are in an establishment that allows vaping, protect it by taking others into consideration.
Don’t make a mess! All too often I see a group of vapers leave e-juice covered tables for the next person to have to deal with. We need to clean up after ourselves just like anyone else, and leaving a juicy mess for the same bartender to clean up is a good way to get vaping banned in said establishment.
Be exemplary patrons! If you show to those around you that you are a respectful, well-mannered person, then you will notice that people’s tolerance of your vaping will improve. It’s easier to hate on some punk blowing clouds in everyone’s faces and causing trouble. Attitudes are contagious folks, if you adopt a positive and respectful attitude about those around you, it will be returned.
Keep your vapor away from kids, period. There is no reason for you to be blowing huge clouds at the park, with kids everywhere. We all know that vaping is pretty much as harmless as a secondhand exposure risk, but it hurts our image and kids don’t need to see it. I don’t consider vaping to be a “cool” hobby, it is a hobby for adults trying to quit smoking. Kids look up their elders, even if it’s a stranger doing something they think is cool. If you need to have a vape, step away for a few minutes and go somewhere less visible.
Public opinion will be what saves dripping from being banned in the future. By influencing the way people interact with, and view vapers, we can help ensure Sub Ohming’s future in the vape industry.
That’s it for this weeks installment of Drip Tips, stay tuned for next week’s post! Also take the time to check out our forums at forums.mtbakervapor.com to get involved with your fellow vapers around the world! Breathe strong, vapers!
