Welcome Vape Fans, to our newest blog series, Dear Summit. This is similar to the popular Dear Abby newspaper column that many of you may remember, except Summit will be fielding any and all questions you may have about vaping. To begin, she will be clearing the air on the top five questions our Customer Service team has been asked about!

How long does shipping take?

This depends on what kind of shipping you select. If you choose basic shipping, you should be receiving your package in 5 to 7 business days. This does not include, Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. However, If you choose priority shipping then it should be 2 to 3 business days. Please allow for up to 3 days for your e-juice to be crafted, packaged, and shipped out. Our production team is awesome though and can process your order in 24 hours most days! Be sure to utilize your tracking number so that you can stalk the mailman with your vapemail too. That’s my favorite part…

Does my juice need extra flavoring shots?

Let’s start with what a ‘flavor shot’ is exactly. It is an additional amount of flavoring we can add to your e-juice, and each “shot” has a noticeable impact on the flavor of your e-juice. Flavor shots are scaled to bottle size, so one extra shot in a 15ml bottle, will be equally strong as one extra shot in a 30 or 236ml bottle. We recommend you try the e-juice first without additional flavor shots, just to gauge how intense the flavor is for you already. As a general rule for our e-juice though, it’s best to not go over two extra shots if your blend has more than 50% PG. Too much flavor can actually have an adverse effect on your juice, and diminish how much you can taste. The way a human explained it to me is that it basically it overloads your taste buds. Extra flavor shots can also increase the amount of time you will have to steep your liquid for it’s full flavor to develop.

When will this item be back in stock?

From time to time, we may have e-cig hardware or e-juice flavors out of stock. We are happy that we are providing the vaping gear you want and need, and are just as disappointed as you when we run out. Sometimes this is due to shipping delays from our suppliers, and we work as fast as we can to get new stock in. Thank you for your patience, and if you check out the page for the item you’re wanting, you can add your email to a list and we will notify you as soon as it’s back in stock! We are hoping to have many of the items that have recently been out of stock, back within the next few weeks.

I live in Canada and the border customers seized my package at the border, how do I go about getting a refund?

Unfortunately, Canadian customs has really been cracking down on the import of nicotine products from the United States. If it appears that customs is taking longer than normal to inspect your order, or they may refuse your package at the border I would recommend contacting Canadian customs with your tracking number. If your order has been refused by customs, they will send it back to us. Once we receive it, we will contact you to let you know. At that point in time, we will happily attempt to reship this package back to you, free of charge.

Is steeping necessary?

Yes! Always, yes! There are many vape shops out there that pre-mix their juices, and allow for steeping time on shelves before you come around to purchase them. This is where Mt Baker Vapor is different, we make all of your e-juice fresh, to order. This allows you to customize it exactly to your liking, but it also means that your e-juice has not had time to develop it’s full flavor yet. When you steep your juices, be sure to keep them in a luke-warm, dark place, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children and my fellow furry cohorts. Also, leave the caps on and give your bottles a good shake twice a day for 2 to 4 weeks. This steeping process will bring the best out of the flavor in your juice, if you are just patient. Patience is not a virtue I have when it comes to dog biscuits, but it’s well worth the wait in the end.

    Dear Summit, I saw a post yesterday that said Mount Baker Vapor will be removing 190 juice flavors from their stock in preparation for possible new regulations. Is this true?

    All the info I have seen as a new vaper says to refill your tank at 1/3 mark. I have many flavors and often like to switch it up. What do I do with the 1/3 of the juice that is left? It seems really wasteful just to dump it.

    One more question. I bought a vamo v8 (later sold it because it had to much power) thinking the the ability to change volts and watts would do something different. I found that at the lowest setting it works and is ok vapor. Why the heck do I want something like this. I use a spinner and an areotank v2. I am happy all day vaping at 3.8v if I go to 4.2 it all seems burnt. Basically I am confused on what a digital mod is really doing for me since the lowest setting on the vamo made the juice pallatable. I just don’t get high power mods. My spinner gives me plenty of clouds. Thanks

    And my third question. Do you need a mod or high watt battery to run a Kanger Turbo that uses 2 coils, or can I use it with my Spinner 2. Sorry for all the questions I am newish to vaping.
