With so much out there these days it can be overwhelming to find the right e-cig set-up, so let’s talk about the three classes of electronic cigarettes we carry here at Mt Baker Vapor; the miniature (mini), the mid-size and the advanced personal vaporizer (APV). Hopefully, this will help steer you towards the best model for your vaping needs. We will also continue to update the post as our starter kits and/or hardware change.

The mini or regular size electronic cigarette is usually the first model of e-cigarette new converts try. They are similar in size and feel to a regular cigarette and are the lowest cost. Perfect for those that want to try vaping, but are not yet ready to commit. They are also an excellent choice for individuals who want a discrete vaping experience. These models work using a 2 piece system, a battery and a cartomizer. All of our mini models are either a 510 connection.

The mid-size electronic cigarette is about the size of a cigar and is most common set-up and/or back up set-up in the world of vaping. They produce more vapor and have a longer battery life then their miniature counterpart. These models can also use a wide range of tanks and heads. Most mid-size models are based on a 510 or eGo thread type and fit. These models can also use low resistance devices for increased vapor production. *Do not forget to refer to your Vaping Power Chart when using low resistance devices.
1. Reasonable start up cost
2. Large selection of tanks and heads
3. Longer battery life
4. Only about the size of a cigar

Advanced personal vaporizers (APVs) or mods are for the advanced electronic cigarette user. They are any model that employs user replaceable batteries and/or has a function not available in a mini or mid-size e-cigarette. There two main classes of APVs: the tubular shaped mod or the box shaped mod. These models mostly use a 3.7 volt lithium ion rechargeable battery which results in more vapor production and a considerably extended battery life. In addition, many APVs include advanced functions and features such as a integral liquid feed, digital readout, variable voltage and electronic control. We recommend these models for experienced vapors only.
